![]() I am a speech and language therapist working in Herefordshire, U.K. I work with a mixed caseload of adults and children. As a person who stammers, I know first hand the importance of effective, personalised therapy. I have a particular interest in stammering, aphasia, and the role of new technologies in therapy. In 2015 I was the recipient of the Travers Reid Award for new research into stammering.
I started building the Aphasia Therapy Planner whilst working on a stroke rehabilitation ward. I was struck by the wide variety of difficulties experienced by clients with aphasia, as well as the many demands placed on therapists, which can make it challenging to identify the most appropriate therapy for each client. The Aphasia Therapy planner is intended to place essential information about each approach at the therapists' fingertips. ![]()
